
Job Description
Outpatient nursing in a clinic setting with emphasis on assisting in procedure, including interventional radiology and interventional cardiology procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Explain procedures to patients and their families, assess their needs and prepare them for procedure.
Assist radiologists with procedures, including inserting intravenous lines, administering medications and contrast dyes, and monitoring patients.
Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and overall well-being during and after the procedure.
Provide post-procedure care, including pain management, wound care, and discharge planning.
Work closely with radiologists, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and optimal care.
Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of equipment used in IR Suite.
Accurately document patient assessments, procedure and care provided.
Adhere to strict safety protocols and infection control measures.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in interventional radiology and nursing practices.
Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
Requirements
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution of higher education.
Current/ Active State RN License, required
SKILLS:
Routine skill expected of an RN working in out-patient environment.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively.
