X- Ray Technician

Job Description

BASIC PURPOSE: The X-Ray Technician operates x-ray equipment to perform radiographic and diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of injuries and diseases. Cross-train and assist in other areas of the clinic as operational needs require.

Responsibilities and Duties

Daily Functions

  • Administer diagnostic x-ray procedures and examinations.

  • Maintain all company standards including quality of work and results, test procedure and methodology, turn-around time, confidentiality of test results; provide assistance or training to x-ray as required.

  • Demonstrate knowledge on company procedures and standards; including procedures relating to the performance and documentation of examinations, turn-around time, and equipment.

  • Ensure personal development through training courses and/or training appropriately to upgrade technical skills, abilities, and knowledge.

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities that may be assigned and ability to work in various shifts.

  • Maintain clean workspace in the Examination room. Protects and Safeguards GRC Assets.

  • Assists GRC staff with Patient File questions as they occur.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

Position Requirements

  • Education: Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology program or other compatible course of study.

  • State X-ray license and current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists -ARRT preffered

  • Current certification in Basic Life Saving (BLS).

  • Experience: 1-2 years of healthcare experience preferred.

Requirements

EDUCATION:
